Abstract: This paper discusses the designing theory and superiority of reinforeed concrete of empty boxtype structure filled with gravels as retaining wall, which is compared with the reinforeed retaining wall for the highway to be constructed in the west Part of Henan province. It proves to have the advantages of saving money and time and easy to make use of materials.
