Abstract: Through the analysis of the function and role of libraries in the internet age,it probes into the qualities that the staff in libraries should have in respects of morality,speciality,English,Psychology,etc.It also puts forward the countermeasures on continual education from the following aspects:ideological politics and professional morality qualities,knowledge of books and information and message-handling technology,foundamental knowledge of computer and internet,foreign language knowledge and language organization ability,life-long education consciousness and cultivation of compound,extrovert outstanding talent,etc.
