Abstract: According to the rule of projection length deformation value is not greater than 2.5cm/km in road surveying area and the projection deformation phenomenon of setting up highway plane control network, the Gauss projection, coordinate transformation, projection area deformation reasons of different heights and the ways of handling the projection deformation have been discussed.
