Abstract:
Composite material Al/Y
2W
3O
12was prepared by the solid-state method. The property of Al and Y
2W
3O
12synthesis at different mass ratios were researched. The X-ray diffraction indicates that the sample only contains Al and Y
2W
3O
12,no substitution of Y by Al.The analyses of SEM and EDS show that the sample was a structure where bulks of Al are embedded by little particles of Y
2W
3O
12.Thermal expansion and electrical conduction experiments indicate when the mass ratio was 7∶3 at temperature ranging from room temperature to 600℃,the sample has a linear thermal expansion coefficient of 14.76×10
-6/K,which is half that of Al(27.52×10
-6/K),and a conductivity of 18.2 S/m,which is half that of Al(35.71 S/m).The research shows the low expansion coefficient and high electrical conductivity could relate to its unique structure.
