Abstract: The rainfall distribution of Dingxi urban area of Gansu province is uneven during the year and its interannual change is obvious.The Guanchuan river，the east river and the west river are seasonal rivers.Based on analyzing the year and interannual change of rivers， it probes into the existing problems，proposes the longitudinal optimization，water environment optimization and function optimization to solve the urban water system problems.
