Abstract: Curriculum ideology and politics is an important content of higher education reform. Based on the goals of specialty teaching and ideology and politics teaching of Engineering Geology and Soil Mechanics, it fully excavates the ideological and political education elements in specialty knowledge. It expounds how to carry out the ideological and political education through the methodology of enlightenment, methodology of discussion, methodology of demonstration, methodology of case teaching and methodology of hybrid teaching to guide students to establish correct values and moral outlook, cultivate students to work diligently, bear hardships and stand hard work, be serious and responsible for work and keep improving the spirit of great country craftsman, and provide reference for the construction of curriculum ideology and politics of engineering related specialties.
