Abstract:
The great changes in the world unseen in a century have put forward requirements for Chinese universities to cultivate international talents who participate in global governance. According to the questionnaire survey, in terms of global competence knowledge, skills and attitudes, it is urgent for Chinese university youth to expand their knowledge of integrated disciplines and enhance their cognition of global issues; To strengthen the willingness to put oneself in others' shoes and focus on developing foreign language ability; To tolerate the culture customs different from our own and strengthen awareness of global issues; Participate in global issues and serve China's participation in global governance. So, universities should cultivate students' global competence from the following four aspects: developing curriculum system related to global competency skills cultivation; cultivating the ability of non-general foreign languages and enhancing the ability to participate in global governance; expanding interdisciplinary practical activities to raise awareness of global issues; expanding online communication and cooperation to broaden the path of cross-cultural communication.
