Abstract: National memory is a kind of collective memory, which makes the members of society belong to and identify with the historical memory by the coercive power of the state. National memory has the function of representation, cohesion and cultivation, which reflects the value goal of national memory in ideological and political education. In the new era, we should pay attention to the ideological and political education function of national memory, and promote the innovative development of ideological and political education in the reconstruction of narrative discourse, strengthening value guidance and enhancing constraints and norms.
