Abstract: "Tezhongbing Shi Lvyou" is one of the top 10 buzzwords and top 10 Internet slang in 2023. Goldberg's Cognitive Construction Grammar theory is adopted to explore and analyze the formal and semantic characteristic of the "Tezhongbing Shi XX" construction as well as its formation and expansion mechanism, which originated from "Tezhongbing Shi Lvyou". Results show that (1) the composition of "Tezhongbing Shi XX" includes the constant "Tezhongbing Shi" and the variable "XX", which mainly borrows its characteristics from special troops, such as performing special tasks and super physical strength, to generate a new form of variable "XX". (2) This construction presents idiomatic characteristics as "Tezhongbing Shi + two－syllable verbs". (3) The central meaning of this construction is to complete the"XX"behavior compactly and efficiently, which is typically characterized by low cost, high efficiency, and high strength. Its extended usage often extends to all aspects of life, instead of focusing only on tourism. (4) Its formation and expansion mainly depend on the memory mechanism in the human brain, as well as subcategorization, and metaphor mechanism.
