Abstract:
Yellow River water conservancy inscriptions serve as significant repositories of the Yellow River culture, embodying dual values as both cultural relics and documentary sources. These inscriptions represent non-renewable historical and cultural legacies. Given the current challenges and contemporary opportunities, the digital conservation and exploitation of Yellow River water conservancy inscriptions are not only essential but also practically viable. Leveraging digital technologies for the conservation and development of these inscriptions is a crucial practice in the new era, contributing to the better preservation, dissemination, and inheritance of the Yellow River culture. In the implementation process, two key strategies are proposed. Firstly, it is imperative to integrate resources to establish a comprehensive digital holographic archive of water conservancy inscriptions across the entire Yellow River basin. Based on this, standardization should be carried out, and a unified database of Yellow River water conservancy inscription resources should be constructed, thereby creating a systematic digital framework. Secondly, proactive exploration of diverse digital application and development models is necessary. Particular emphasis should be placed on two aspects: the creation of diverse digital platforms to enhance the display and dissemination of Yellow River water conservancy culture, and the utilization of digital creativity to drive the profound integration of culture and tourism within the Yellow River Basin.
