    Simulation of Annlual Runoff Sequences on the Basis of Wavelet Transform

    • Based on thirty-nine years'annual runoff sequences of Sanmenxia Hydlnlogy Station on the Yellow River, this paper uses the wavelet transform to decomope the actually measured se-quences into the high-freqency and smoother parts. Alter analysing the different parts, this paper has made a simulation, comining with AR(1) medel, and rearranged them by the reaLranging cal-culating method. The case of simulation shows that the statistic characteristic paramter of thehydrologic sequences by combining wavelet transform with AN(1) moclel is closer to the original one. As a result, such simulation is a better method of simulating hydrologic runoff sequences.
