Structural Characteristics of the Glass Roof of the Hippo House at Berlin Zoo

This paper introduces the structural system of the glass roof of the Hippo House at the Berlin Zoo, especially the model selection, the formation of transition area and the structural lay-out of visitors’ area. The paper also deals with analytical model of the roof structure and analytical method of the structure.
