On Library Building in Higher Vocational Colleges and Universities

The paper discusses the importance and urgency of library building in higher vocational colleges and universities and analyzes the principle conditions and characteristics of the library.In accordance with the present existing problems,it puts forward twelve of them which should be resolved firstly,that is, promoting the cognition of the importance of library work,quickening the pace of library modernization,putting into necessary funds,improving library workers’ professional qualities,realizing the double aims of education and service, coordinating the relationship between stored books and borrowed books, considering both service and academic research, successfully handling the relationship of teachers’ books and students’ books, controlling the appropriate ratios of science books and literary books, coordinating the mutual supply relationship between library and information room of departments and offices, meeting the demand of readers’ reading requirement and persisting in the correct reading guidance.
