Thematic Structure in English and Development of English Text

In this paper the author examines ’thematisation’ and the principle of information distribution in the linear organization of English language and tries to analyze how discourse or text develops or achieves its cohesion and coherence and how information is communicated in the process of thematisation and linearisation.This theory has deep significance in the textual_teaching practice of English.
