Conflict between Humanism and Feudalism ——Study on the Theme of A Midsummer Night’s Dream
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of the comic masterpieces of Shakespeare. The conflict and dispute between Hermia and Egeus on her marriage arrangement and the contradiction between the two ideologies in Theseus’s inner world reflect the social reality in the 16th century England, i.e., the conflict and contradiction between humanism and feudalism.
