On Implementing and Perfecting the Credit System in Higher Education

    • Implementing the credit system is an important move of higher educational reform of China. The credit system can assure the students’ main position in the course of teaching, can widen their choosing range under the teaching plan, can improve their study quality, can promote the reform of school teaching, and can adjust to the requirement that makes higher education popularize. There are also some problems in the implementation of the credit system of China such as lower proportion of elective courses, disordered teaching sequence, political and ideological education is lightened, inadequate educational input, etc.Facing these problems,we can only perfect them in reform but not flinch. For this reason,we should implement human-oriented and quality-oriented education, increase the proportion of elective courses;strengthen basic construction, improve teaching conditions;build a new pattern of the students’ political and ideological education, and carry forward the credit system reform of higher education further.
