Study on Coprecipitation of Cefepime hydrochloride and Arginine

By changing the mole ratios of Cefepime hydrochloride and L－Arginine,using the coprecipitation method,it prepares a series of compositions.The composition and the crystal mophology of were studied by High Performance Liquid Chromatography(HPLC),Infrared spectroscopy(IR),X－Ray Power Diffraction(XRPD).The results showed that mole ratios of Cefepime hydrochloride and L－arginine in the coprecipitation product were the same as the feeding molar ratio,which declared that coprecipitation product were solid solution,rather than cocrystal.It turned out that the uniformity of the coprecipitation product was higher than that of the commercial product.
