Enlightenment of “One Belt and One Road” Proposal to College English Listening and Speaking Course

The “One Belt and One Road” proposal has an important enlightenment for college English listening and speaking course.By investigating the non-English major students’ college English listening and speaking course learning situation of Hubei Engineering University，it found that the university paid less attention to the students’ English listening and speaking ability； the teaching material selection couldn’t keep pace with times development； the language lab equipment was old.Given the “Great Project” need of talent cultivation for the future requirements， the teaching content， teaching material and evaluation system and so on need reforming to improve the teaching quality of college English listening and speaking course.
