Investigation and Analysis on Present Status of Higher Vocational College Freshmen Library Guide Education in Henan Province

It investigates the current situation of readers’library guide education activities of 40 libraries of higher vocational colleges in Henan province.Based on the freshmen’s library guide education section setting, the carrier mode and the education way on the library website of higher vocational colleges, it points out that there are some problems in the process of readers’library guide education, such as the weak awareness of readers’education service, the poor continuity of work, the single form of education, untimely update of contents and insufficient interaction between students and libraries.After all, it puts forward countermeasures from four aspects:paying more attention to education and training,innovating the education mode, strengthening the quality of librarians and timely evaluation.
