Analysis on Influence of Chuhe River Embankment Reinforcement on Cross-river Bridge Piers

    • In order to analyze the influence of Chuhe River embankment reinforcement on cross-river bridge piers, a numerical calculation model of the embankment typical-designed section is established. By applying modified Bishop-C method, the relative position of embankment potential slip arc of and bridge pier filling pile is analyzed quickly. Meanwhile, Biot consolidation principle is adopted to analyze the influence of construction on embankment settlement. The results show that the most dangerous potential slip arc searching time of a single working condition is only 2.145s by using Bishop-C method. After soil cultivation, the embankment potential slip arc dew point tends to move towards the slope foot. The resulting displacement change has little influence on the settlement beyond 6m away from the slope foot.
