Analysis on Function of Chinese English in Intercultural Communication

    • China English is the product of English globalization in China and is used to express the uniqueness of Chinese society and culture. Due to the limited influence of Chinese in the world, the use of China English is an inevitable choice to strengthen the communication between Chinese culture and cultures of different countries. By analyzing the relationship between language and power and the nature of intercultural communication, it is pointed out that English-speaking countries control the discourse power of international communication. There is an inequality between English-speaking countries and non-English-speaking countries. Therefore, the promotion of China English is of great strategic significance for ensuring the safety of the Chinese nation’s culture, highlighting the right to speak Chinese culture, and spreading Chinese culture abroad.
