    Analysis on Sustainable Utilization of Water Resources in Zhengzhou Based on Ecological Footprint Method

    • The ecological footprint model was used to analyze the ecological footprint of water resources,carrying capacity of water resources, water resources pressure index and ecological surplus of Zhengzhou from 2003 to 2019. The results showed that the ecological footprint of production water decreased year by year, while the ecological footprint of life and ecological water increased year by year. The carrying capacity of water resources in Zhengzhou showed a downward trend, which caused the increasing water resources pressure and the frequent ecological deficit. Therefore, the situation of water resources utilization in Zhengzhou is not optimistic. It is necessary to rationally allocate water resources and strengthen the construction of ecological civilization while developing economy.
