    Analysis on Dynamic Response of Water Intake Tower Under Seismic Action Based on ANSYS

    • Based on the ANSYS three-dimensional finite element analysis software, the seismic response analysis of the intake tower structure was conducted by adopting the mode decomposition response spectrum method. The weak parts of the tower body under seismic action were analyzed, and the concrete strength was rechecked. The results indicate that under seismic action, the displacement of the intake tower structure increases significantly, with the maximum displacement mainly located at the top of the tower. The tensile stress of the intake tower structure increases, and the maximum value is mainly distributed in the waist area of the tower. The maximum tensile stress of the concrete is less than the tensile strength stipulated in the specification, meeting the specification requirements, and the intake tower will not be damaged.
